As a Student Representative for the University of Maryland’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions, I was able to sharpen my communication skills. I began this position in Spring 2020 and continued working for the office until Spring 2022.
During my time with Maryland Admissions, I was responsible for a wide range of tasks. I staffed an “ask me anything” desk for prospective students and visitors on tour, gave admissions presentations, and created social media content for ApplyMaryland’s Instagram and Facebook pages. I also hosted live Q&A webinars for applicants and assisted with the setup and breakdown of several prospective student visit events.
